Cancellation lessons

Our cancellation policy is designed to find a balance between protecting the interests of our team against last-minute cancellations and providing fair treatment for our valued customers.
If a client wishes to cancel their scheduled lesson, they may do so via WhatsApp or e-mail during our office hours (9:00-18:00). We highly appreciate to know as soon as possible, but latest 24-hour before the starting time, if there’s any change of plans on the clients side. In the event a client decides to cancel their lessons, the following guidelines will be implemented:
1. Reservation Fee: The reservation fee will be included into the total price, so reserving your spot will not result in any extra costs. Please note that the reservation fee is non-refundable. It is required to secure your spot and minimize the possibility of no-shows.
2. Advance Notice: We kindly request a reasonable amount of advance notice for cancellations, specifically 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson. This allows us the opportunity to potentially fill the empty spot with another student.
3. Cancellation Charges: Unless a cancellation is due to medical reasons, a partial charge will apply. Specifically, lessons canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled start time will result in a 50% of the missed lesson cancellation fee.
4. No-Show Policy: If a client fails to attend their lesson without prior cancellation, a fee of 50% of the missed lesson per person will be added to the bill.
5. Exceptions: We understand that exceptional circumstances, such as medical emergencies, may arise. In such cases, we are willing to be more flexible. Please inform us of the situation, and we will work together to determine the best way forward.



In the unfortunate event of experiencing one or more no-wind days, we have established a refund policy as outlined below. A day is classified as a no-wind day at the discretion of KCZ and is typically characterized by conditions where you can’t go out, even by using a large board with a big kite.
Clients have the following three refund options to choose from:
1. Receive a 100% voucher of the total value of your lesson or rental and reschedule your lesson/rental within one year.
2. Use the entire remaining value (100%) of your lesson/rental credit in our shop.
3. Opt for a refund of up to 50% of the unused time.
   – Rental Example: If you have rented equipment for 7 days but were only able to kite for 4 days, we will refund you 50% of the price difference. That is, the cost of 7 days minus the cost of 4 days, multiplied by 50% (460 – 300 = 10 x 50% = 50€).
   – Lesson Example: In the case of a booked beginner semi-private course where you completed 6 hours instead of the full 9 hours, we will refund you 50% of the price difference, which is calculated as the price of 9 hours minus the price of 6 hours (360 – 250 = 90 x 50% = 45€).
This policy ensures that our customers are fairly compensated in the event of less than ideal wind conditions, allowing for flexibility and options to meet their needs.
