Rising Sun Diving School Zanzibar is a small diving school, focussing on quality. There will never be more than 3 buddy teams per instructor. They make sure that everybody dives within their comfort zone and will make even smaller groups if needed. The South East Coast of Zanzibar faces the open ocean and has a great variety of dive sites which offer excitement to everybody: student, beginner and experienced.
It’s not only about the diving, they love the ocean and a day with Rising Sun Diving School Zanzibar is about the experience: Diving from a hand made mahogany Dhow (Sailing boat). Just a few divers and nobody else underwater but the fish, drifting through pristine coral reefs. 65Km of unexplored pristine coral reef. The South East Coast is one of the few still untouched strips of Indian Ocean in the world. The beautiful coral reefs over there are teaming with life while being on the deep oceanic side unexpected encounters with bigger pelagic life are always an exciting surprise. They are happy to share the beauty of these dive sites and guide you through the mysteries of Zanzibar’s East Coast!
This is the first level on the PADI certification ladder and will allow you to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum of 12m with a PADI Instructor.
The most famous of all the courses and the big entry level course is the PADI Open Water. This will allow you to dive anywhere in the world with another qualified (Open Water Diver and above) to a maximum depth of 18m. Otherwise you can use it to build up your skills by diving deeper with a PADI Instructor and continuing your education in diving.
This is a great way for you to dive whilst improving your personal skills and developing new ones. The course includes 5 dives and you will focus your learning on Deep Diving, Navigation, Drift Diving, Fish Identification and Digital Underwater Photography. This is your next full step after your Open Water Course on the PADI Ladder towards becoming a Master Scuba Diver.
